Actor Sanjay Dutt was adjudged Star of the Year for his heroic performance in blockbuster Lage Raho Munna Bhai while Aishwarya Rai has got the top honour for Dhoom 2 at the MAX Stardust Awards. Saif Ali Khan who is presently in hospital won the Best Actor in a Negative Role award for his performance in Omkara.

Predictably, director Rajkumar Hirani was honoured with the Dream Director trophy for Lage Raho Munna Bhai. On the other hand, Omkara was declared the Hottest Film and Sanjay Gadhvi Hottest Director for making Dhoom 2. The best actor in a Supporting Role Male award has gone to Abhishek Bachchan for Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Ayesha Takia won the Supporting Role Female award for Dor. Whereas the Editor’s Choice for the Best Performance of the Year went to Kareena Kapoor for her performance in Omkara and for Best Director to Vishal Bharadwaj for the same film.
