Sri Lanka storm to a victory against Bermuda

In what can be termed as a one sided affair, Srilanka crush minnow Bermuda by 243 runs. Earlier, opting to bat first after winning the toss, Sangakara, Jayawardene and new kid in the block Chamara Silva scored run a ball half-centuries. But the real difference was made by none other than upcoming fast bowler, Lasith Malinga who virtually destroyed Bermuda top order with his pace and accuracy. Playing after a gap of 3 months, fast bowler Chaminda Vass and off spinner Muttiah Muralitharan looks good in their brief spell at bowling crease.

Theoretically speaking, the 243-run walloping was the third heaviest in one-dayers and it was only thanks to some lower-order resistance that it avoided being an even more gory bloodbath. This victory is not a happy sign for Team India because Srilanka looks fine tune for this World Cup and any complacency from their part can land them in trouble.
